Why can't I use a personal bank account?

To use Fundbox, your business must have a business checking account. 

Due to recent legal and regulatory changes, we are no longer able to provide services to companies via bank accounts used for personal, family, or household purchases.

If you are an existing Fundbox user, you will see a banner at the top of your Fundbox dashboard asking to confirm the account type on file. 

 

 

Most banks will require your company to be registered as a business. If this is the case, you may need to file a DBA (doing business as) or incorporate your business in order to open one, depending on your local legislation.
